Sustainable new building:
De Leeuwenhoeve in Zoetermeer

17 HydroTops for The Lion Farm

The vacant lot at 96 Zegwaartseweg stood abandoned for years. Once there was a farm named Leeuwenhoeve. The old barn on the property was dilapidated and demolished. The sale of the villas, two-, three-, four- and five-under-one-roof and dike houses started at the end of May 2020.

One of the oldest farms in Zoetermeer was the Leeuwenhoeve on Zegwaartseweg. The property had been vacant for a long time and the old wooden barn was about to collapse. The family wanted to turn it into a place where history lived on and where people could enjoy living.

Monumental barn

The monumental barn no longer exists but a redesign of the barn was made with three special homes. In the residential area, the old look of the farmyard has returned. Furthermore, a semi-detached house, a semi-detached house and a semi-detached house have been built.

Four more dike houses will also be built on the Zegwaartsewetering. Between the buildings, in the farmyard, there is a large collective green space designed as a child-friendly nature garden with the atmosphere of an orchard.

We were allowed to supply 17 HydroTops with heat pumps for this beautiful project in Zoetermeer. Of which three in thatched roofs.
