After a long wait, construction has finally begun

The start of construction took a while. "Patience was central to this project," says Joost de Korte of Aannemersbedrijf P. van Leeuwen. "Going through the procedures took a lot of time. After the demolition of the old cooperage, we started the construction and fortunately that is going well. As it looks now, we expect to deliver the homes in the first quarter of 2023."

The project

Four starter homes are being built on Graafdijk Oost in Molenaarsgraaf. The design of the new homes "in Molenhoek" refers to the history of this location. At this location there was an old cooperage, of which old elements can be recognized in the design of the new houses.

Owner Gerard Wemmers: "Twenty years ago we built our current home at this location. Even then we planned to build four more homes. I am happy that construction has now started and I am looking forward to the result." The row houses will feature sustainable installations, such as a heat pump and pv solar panels.

Local need

The future residents were all present. After placing the decorated floor plate, there was toasting and chatting. De Korte concludes, "The buyers are all from the municipality of Molenlanden. We really enjoy building homes in the region and thus meeting local needs."

For this project,contractor P. van Leeuwen chose sustainable installations, including the Hydrotop with heat pumps by Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions Europe. This combination is available exclusively through Dutch Heat Pump Solutions (DHPS).
